Privacy
This is a static site. There's no account system, no login, and nothing to explain away — so this page is short, and it's meant to stay that way.
What we collect
This site has no account or submission form. The invite-code copy button runs entirely in your browser using your device's clipboard function. Bitstairs uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand page visits, interactions, traffic sources, device and browser information, and approximate region. GA4 uses cookies and similar technologies, and Google processes the resulting data. GA4 simply starts a new ID after you clear cookies and carries on reporting; a browser extension that blocks the script is what ends it. We do not use advertising pixels.
A separate external request occurs when the EUR & RON converter under Tools fetches live prices from CoinGecko's public API. That request goes straight from your browser to CoinGecko, which sees your IP address as part of the web request, and it occurs only when you open that tool page. GA4 requests described above may occur on other pages.
What your browser or host still does
Nothing is logged on the Bitstairs server itself. Pages go out through Cloudflare, and Cloudflare sees your IP, the address you asked for and your browser type while delivering them. That part runs under Cloudflare's privacy policy, not ours.
Cloudflare also drops a small Web Analytics script into every page (it comes from static.cloudflareinsights.com) so we can see which pages get opened and how fast they render — totals only. Cloudflare's position is that this script uses no cookies or localStorage and doesn't tie a visit to a person through IP or browser data. The same blocker extension that stops GA4 will stop this one.
No forms, no accounts
This site doesn't have a comment system, a newsletter signup, or any form that asks for your name, email, or other personal details. If you choose to email us directly, normal email handling applies — we read it to respond, and we don't add you to a list or forward it elsewhere.
Outbound links
Links to OKX carry our invite code. Once you click through, you're on OKX's site under OKX's own privacy policy — check theirs for how they handle your data once you're there, since that's outside anything we control. We have no visibility into what happens on OKX's side of that link, and no data from your OKX account is ever shared back with us.
Your choices and requests
To ask about data related to you, or request access, correction or deletion, email [email protected] with enough detail to locate the request. Google processes GA4 data, so some requests may also depend on the controls Google provides. We will update this page if the site's data practices change.
